Counselling with experience
Thinking about going for counselling can be scary; I know that, I've been there.
My name is Lindsey Yule, and when I hit a few bumps in the road I took some convincing that counselling was what I needed. Why would I go and tell everything to a complete stranger? It felt completely alien to me . But I knew I needed to do something, so I tried it and then it clicked. My counsellor was friendly, supportive and gently challenging. Gradually I realised that I did actually feel better and the clouds started to lift.
I was at a cross roads in life and rather than try and get back to my previous career, I decided to learn about counselling myself. I started with baby steps and completed my COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills and halfway through that I realised I had found what I wanted to do with my life.
I made the decision to study a 2 year Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which was a huge step but I've never looked back. Now I have the privilege to meet lots of great people, help them work out what is bothering them and work with them so that they can get their life looking and feeling the way they want.
If you'd told me this is how it would work out when I went for that first session I would not have believed you, yet here I am...if you take the leap of faith and decide to make some changes, what could it lead to for you
Sessions & Costing
I offer a free 30 minute consultation call where we can chat through the issues leading you to consider therapy and also what you can expect from therapy. If you’re happy to proceed we will then get you booked in for your first session. Sessions are offered both in person and online and we will discuss your preference during the consultation call.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are either weekly or fortnightly depending on what suits you best.
The costs of sessions are as follows:
- Individual therapy session £55
- Online therapy session £45
- Couples Counselling Session £75
- Clinical Supervision for Therapists £40
The number of sessions required really does vary from person to person as everyone and their presenting issues are different. We will monitor your progress against your goals and review together after 6 sessions – it’s a very collaborative and transparent process.
Payment is made in advance for sessions, so you will pay for the first session when you make the booking and then at the end of each session you pay for the next one. You can re-schedule at no cost by giving at least 24 hours notice.
